Several princely states of India entered into a treaty with the Government of India and their royal privileges were ceased. However, in order, to maintain their standard of living, many of them turned into hoteliers, businessman and  politicians. Many royal families converted their abodes  into the heritage hotels to provide the experience of royal living to the foreign tourists.
